Harry Potter itinerary

Hi, We're going to do a full day of just HP at IOA and US. Then go back and do a HP evening there another day. (will of course do the rest of the park on a different day)

Does anyone have a tried and tested itinerary they could give me please as it's our first visit.

What's it like there in the evening with shows etc?

Thanks.

Hi. You will love the HP stuff -so immersive. If you look on the Orlando Informer website, they have some HP touring plans on there with options for full day, half day etc -you might want to check those out? One option is following Harry's journey, so start in London, Diagon Alley and then to Hogsmeade.
As for shows, in DA you can find performances from Celestina Warbeck on the stage in Carkit Market. They also perform a puppet show of The Tale of the Three Brothers.

Over in Hogsmeade, you can find the Frog Choir performing on the stage and they also have the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons students performing (I've not seen this , so not sure what happens or how frequently it happens)

there is also a show of sorts in Ollivanders wand shops - the wand choosing ceremony. This happens in both DA and Hogsmeade.

There isn't any show at night but both areas look gorgeous at night. There is a rumour that a projection type show might happen in IOA at Hogwarts Castle but nothing confirmed yet.

They are truly spectacular areas. We cannot wait to return. enjoy!

I will also be interested in someone's idea of a good plan. We are planning a morning in US, a morning in IOA and an evening of just HP. Hopefully we can do most stuff between 6 + 10pm on a July evening

We did 1 day just on HP.
Although not the right order. We went straight to Forbidden Journey. Then got the Train to do escape from Gringotts. We then spent some time looking around the shops/shows. Had lunch at the leaky cauldron. Got the train back to Hogsmead and looked all around there.

Last year we did escape from Gringotts then breakfast in the Leaky Cauldron. Got the train to Hoggsmead did the rides there then around to
Skull Island and a few more rides lunch then back to HRH for a siesta then back to Diagon Ally for a night time session. Day 2 was doing all the rides we had missed on day 1. Highly recommend Fortescues Icecream parlour. Happy Holiday planning. The fast passes are worth it.

Didn't know about Universal fast passes. Thought they were just at Disney!

they are not free I'm afraid! Universal call them Express Pass. You can by them for one day but they are really dear, especially a peak times. The Universal website has a pricing calendar you can check for your dates.

A popular option is to book 1 night on-site at either Royal Pacific, Hard Rock or Portofino Bay and you get 2 days worth of passes (check in and check out). This always works out cheaper, but the hotel prices have rocketed this year so savings aren't as great.

Another alternative is to book a night or two on-site at Cabana Bay or Sapphire Falls which gives 1 hour early access to the HP areas (only 1 park each day) so you can get a head start. The main HP rides don't accept Express Pass anyway and this option will be cheaper.
