LOL ok here we go :

Don't need new tickets if you return before AP's expire - you can go the following year if you watch the dates carefully.

Parking is free - only a benefit if you stay offsite though.

Discounts on onsite hotels booked with Disney USA.

Discount on merchandise.

Discount on some TS meals

Thanks.

So do you have to have bought a particular ticket in the first place to be able to upgrade to AP?

You can do it with any ticket, they typically take what you've paid/value of ticket off the AP price.

We did last year with 4 x 14 Day tickets. We got a bargain, upgraded towards the end of our holiday and it only cost £186 for all 4 of us ($228 from memory).

That was to a Platinum Plus AP that includes all water parks etc.

We got it cheaper as we are DVC members so got 25% off the price. Think it was around $800 less 25% = $600 but take off the 14 day ticket (circa £400 or $540) came out at $55 each.

We also benefitted from discounts on merchandise and food etc and we are planning 2 trips this year. One off site so will save on parking and one on site so will get food etc cheaper too

Any questions, please ask.
