Global Entry - Enrollment on Arrival At Orlando
Had an E Mail this week and the US Customs & Border Protection have now included Orlando and Tampa airports as locations where you can complete your Global Entry interview without scheduling an appointment.
What do I do when I land in the international terminal? Follow the signage directing you to CBP officers who can complete your Global Entry interview during your admissibility inspection. You won't need any additional documents other than the requisite documents for international travel (e.g., your passport). If you would like to save time and effort, then join thousands of other Global Entry applicants who are conditionally approved and participate in Enrollment on Arrival. This only applies to those who have paid the Home Office for the initial application and been approved, then applied to CBP paid again and also been conditionally approved. We will be doing this next Sunday and if it's fine will cancel our scheduled appointment for later in that week. Hope this helps

Hi. It gives you 5 years validity even if you renew your Passport during that time. It will be very good for us as we go so often. It allows you to totally bypass the Immigration lines and use the line to the far right which is always dead.

It's very good but not cheap. £42 each for the Home Office application. If approved then $100 each to the CBP. Once approved it allows you to schedule an interview but that is now overtaken by this arrival interview so saves a trip back to the airport.
In addition it gives you TSA Pre so quick lines through security leaving the US albeit we already get this anyhow.

Thanks for posting the info, we would be interested in doing this. Do you know how long the interview takes at Orlando?

I'm advised it's 10 minutes max and you rock up with your printed out approval record with its unique number. Plus 2 forms of ID - Passport and D/Lic for us.
There is a risk attached to this process though. If you get knocked back during the application stage you can no longer travel on an ESTA and have to apply for a full Visa.

Good news. If I need a interview for my renewal I xan do this in May. I cant reapply until mid march and was worried all the May slots would be taken by then.

My interview was just fingerprints no questions at all. All done in 5 mins. Easy peasy. Only issue I can see is they probably only have one offiver doing it and you have no idea how long the line will be until you get there. Trust me its well worth the hassle though.
