Decluttering
I'm planning on being very brave (or very silly) and want to totally declutter my bedroom including toiletries, make up and clothes.
I've lost 4st over the last 2 years so the plan is to ditch all of my larger clothes so I will never fit them again. Also I seem to have make up from all ages some of which has got a bit caked and I'm sure is past its best So far I have got as far as buying some new non slip hangers from Primark. With clothes I'm planning on changing which drawers etc I keep items in . I'm considering storing T shirts etc in a 'rolled' form. I know when I was looking at packing cubes someone posted a link to a lady's tutorial on folding & storing etc but I can't remember her name Any ideas? Edited at 02:37 PM. Reason: Spelling correction |

Her name is Marie Kondo. I use her method of rolling my socks - it's great as I can see immediately all my socks at the same time now.
Good luck with the clear out! |

No but it's not easy to just throw things out is it. Decluttering always takes me far longer than I think it will.

When we redecorated our bedroom it seemed like a good idea to pull out the fitted wardrobes.
However it was the best thing we did as that was our opportunity whilst everything was dumped all over the place to declutter. My god we had tons of stuff for the charity shop.

I started decluttering using the Marie Kondo method at the end of January. I’m still going through the process. To do it properly, it takes a long time but it’s so worth it. It’s taking me far, far longer than I expected but goodness, it really is incredibly worthwhile. I would add that we’ve gone a few years without decluttering and have lots of cupboards and drawers to ‘hide’ things in! So... the house looked very tidy but behind the closed cupboard doors, everything was full!
