Real tree losing needles
Just adding couple more baubles my tree is really losing lots of needles, it’s in a cool room, water topped up daily, is it to late to spray with hairspray?

Bit difficult now it's dressed, but we always chop an inch off bottom of trunk before putting in stand. Apparently if you don't do this it finds it hard to draw up the water as the sap/resin released when it is first chopped seals the end as it dries out. Might help for future years?! Not sure about hairspray...

I would definitely have a go at spraying it. Where did you get the tree and what sort of tree is it?

What type of tree is it as some are better at retaining needles than others.
My tree can’t be watered as it’s been screwed into a log stand and its not dropped any needles. It’s been up and decorated for 10 days now.

Mine seems to be losing more needles this year and we’ve been spraying it lots. DH thinks it’s the cat to blame though!

I think cutting the base might help as already mentioned. We have actually taken everything off once to do this a few years back🙄

What are you feeding it with? Tree's are like flowers and like sugar, we where always told flat full sugar lemonade mixed with 1/2 water.
