It’s the big food shop tomorrow!

Have you done your big Christmas shop yet? If not, when will you do it? Or do you not bother at all?
It seems the shops are crazy to they are only closed for a day but I don’t want to spend my festive period nipping to Tesco every day lol
What you you get that you don’t normally buy ?
We get fancy crisp, cheese board, selection of crackers, alcohol (we don’t really drink, never in the home but its my turn to host Boxing Day),
We don’t go over board to be honest. The kids get loads of chocolates etc to eat over Christmas too.
We do struggle for evening meal ideas though because we want something a bit different than our usual weekday menus

I'll be at M&S at 8am then on to Tesco both to collect food orders. I like to buy all the things I don't allow myself to eat through the year which includes cheese, pate and puddings

Mine is coming tonight. I normally buy extras like gateaux and cakes and loads of treats I don’t normally buy. I may still pop out tomorrow though as I like to make sure I’m well stocked up and normally cook enough to last a few days too, so it feels like a mini holiday whilst I’m off work 😊

Going Morrison’s at 6.30am. Does that count? All I need is sprouts, chocolate, cream and beer. Also got to call at Argos, ikea and Asda to collect items.

I did mine at the beginning of December after the savings bonus had been added for crisps , nibbles , beer etc ( just a few extra treats really ) then just did fresh stuff Friday as I do every week . I Will go again next Friday.
It does make me wonder how much food will get chucked in the bin when people are using food banks when I saw some of the trollies piled up on Friday

We went today, got to Tesco at 9.30 and were out the door at just after 10. We didn’t buy much more than normal as we are having lunch at Rob’s parents. The car park was crazy when we left, literally no spaces!
