Check-in times

Were flying to San Francisco via Heathrow from Manchester with BA next year, do we still need to check-in 3 hours before our Manchester flight. or can you treat this as an internal flight?
I thought I would ask, as we've never flow this way to the States before.

No need to be there 3 hours before for the domestic leg. Never used Manchester but for departures so can't advise on security timescales.

you can treat as domestic, but consider security maybe allow 2 hours. We flew this route earlier in the year and did car drop off just after 8 and was in the terminal for 8:30 for a 9:55 flight.
