Busy Day Guide for California parks

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if there is a busy day guide for the California parks.

If not, does anyone have advice on what days are best/avoid mid to late August?

Thanks

For my trip next month I've used the Touring Plans DL crowd calendar (subscription needed though), and Is It Packed (no subscription needed). Is It Packed also has crowd calendars for some of the other Southern California parks like Knott's Berry Farm and Universal!

Brilliant. Had a look at Is It Packed and its really useful.
Did you find that there was a difference between the subscription and is it packed?

For the few days I'm looking at (just after Thanksgiving and week after Thanksgiving) it seems that they pretty much agreed with each other. But I guess those days are fairly predictable in terms of crowds anyway (i.e. crazy busy from just before Thanksgiving until the Sunday after, then crowd levels drop significantly on the Monday after).

There are a few other things I've read about impacting crowd levels at DL - not sure how much this gets taken into account by Touring Plans and Is It Packed (probably) but worth checking:
- Any major conventions/events going on, either at DL or at the Anaheim convention centre. E.g. apparently the first week of November might be nuts due to Dapper Days at DL + Blizz Con at Anaheim convention centre...
- Blockout dates for the annual passes. Apparently Saturdays when most of the APs are blocked out are better than Sundays when the APs aren't blocked out?

We have used touring plans for WDW and for the tiny subscription found it excellent so we paid I think about $8 for Disneyland well worth it the o,and work and whilst we don’t really use them for WDW as there for a few weeks for a day or 2 at Disneyland it was invaluable

Keep in mind also that the new Star Wars land is due to open next summer, so expect every day to be very busy after that.
