Wow, really thought my wife was talking rubbish haha.

Found this *bad language alert with some of the posts*:

reddit/r/walmart/com..._sell_alcohol/

Interestingly those posts are from the start of the year. Can't say we had any issues two weeks ago buying alcohol in Walmart when we were there. Never got asked for ID mind you.

Oh no one of my fave things is the different flavoured vodka and wine I can buy in Wal-Mart.

Sorry yeah I meant Walgreens, are they a separate company from Walmart? If so then that's a worry if this policy is going to start filtering down to most stores that sell alcohol

This Walgreens is where we normally go & would have been going for our wine & beer next week for the room there’s a cvs now isn’t there just up the road? if not it will be a trip to ABC liquor, can’t understand why they would do this

We bought wine and beer in Wal-Mart 2 days ago and weren't asked for ID.

Walgreens and Walmart are completely separate. Walgreen is just a chemist/convenience store and is actually now owned by Boots.
