I think you can leave and come back. They give you a lanyard with a photo ID and it’s dated.

We asked at the check-in desk and they directed us to the shop (think it is the first one you come to. They have loads of pairs, different strengths - 3 of the 4 of us got them and they really made an enormous difference to my experience. Also worth saying that they are free for the day.
