anyone else watching this? (not sure its made it to UK yet) - new HBO show with john goodman. LOVE IT! its up there with BARRY in my opinion as one of the best new shows of the last couple of years...

The Righteous Gemstones centers on a family of televangelists and megachurch pastors led by widowed patriarch Eli Gemstone (John Goodman). Eli and his bickering children, Jesse (Danny McBride), Judy (Edi Patterson), and Kelvin (Adam DeVine) live opulent lifestyles funded by their congregations' tithing, and work to expand their network of megachurches, making enemies of the pastors of existing churches, such as Rev. John Wesley Seasons (Dermot Mulroney). This expansion leads them to reconnect with Eli's estranged brother-in-law, "Baby" Billy Freeman (Walton Goggins), whom they tap to lead their newest church.

Finally got round to watching this. Loved it! Definitely recommended. I can’t stop singing the song Misbehavin! The dreaded CV had delayed the second season unfortunately

anyone watching season 2 yet? i'm absolutely loving it!

the god squad (and keef) is a particular highlight, and the flashback episode was so well done, the kid actors they used were *amazing*

this weeks episode ended on a bit of a shock, will be interesting to see how it pans out next week!

 

i think its eric andre behind the ninja bikers rather than eric roberts - he wants eli out of the picture so that jesse can give him all the money for the resort

either that, or BJ is playing the long game. fun fact, his sister in the baptism episode is his real life partner

i was worried uncle baby billy wasnt going to be in it, but he featured prominently in two of the last episodes. who do we reckon harmon is going to be?

 

i reckon its keef, or at least one of the god squad... i thought i saw one of them wearing oakleys at the airfield
