Yes that is a downside. It's £150 difference for two people for one night plus express, or one night plus RIP. The tour sounds good, but I don't think its necessary and £400 total for one night is crazy regardless of how good a night it is. Express it is by the looks of it.

Sounds like a good decision. We're doing 6 nights and that comes to about £115 for both of us per night so £400 does seem alot!

Unfortunately we don't arrive until the 1st of November, so it only leaves the 2nd and 3rd to visit. Thankfully these look like quieter dates if using the price per night as a guide so should be able to cover most of it. 6 nights sounds amazing!

Bought express passes for the both of us for the two nights we're there.
Looked at the RIP Tour but it worked out the same price as the 4 express passes and would leave us queuing for everything on the second night. I wasn't massively fussed about doing the RIP tour again though as it just feels too rushed. You don't really get to stop and appreciate any of it. |

Woo! Rush of Fear covers the 3 days we're going!
Now the hard part, do we get Rush with express ($300) or Rush with one day express and the RIP ($90 + $100 + $150) or Rush with express and RIP ($300 + $150) We really wanted to do the RIP again...

Booked a RIP tour for the 28th, but they only sent a scan, not any event info / timings (unlike last year).

We were looking at an RIP tour as we have only ever done them on previous occasions that we have been before but not available the night we want. As we cannot get the RIP tour we are not going as only really enjoy the scare part - don't know any of the shows that they are based on but at least with a tour they are explained to you and don't fancy spending the night hanging around waiting to get in for something we don't know about - especially as it poured down the last time we went. Apparently the nights that we wanted are only for the media and we have booked up all other nights. Seems crazy that they have 3 nights for the media and could not even provide private tours on those days. Still have saved us $691 including tax for the 2 of us that we can just spend at Disney.

I'm booked for the 2nd Nov. Entry + Express. Rip tour was a little cheaper on that date, but still a lot of money and to do it would mean taking away funds from other activities. I went without RIP last time and loved it, so think we'll be fine without it. Yay another thing ticked off

I’ve just booked the RIP tour for 23rd September. I’m very excited! I’m still acting like this trip is ‘once in a lifetime’. :-)
Do you think we should start a new thread with a 2018 title? :-) |
