AA look away... How do you make the Perfect G&T

Got friends coming tonight for an Indian and Games night, going to start off with G&T's. I usually make mine very strong.

Would love to know how people make theirs, measurements, brand of gin, how much tonic, Lemon or Lime.

Any info gratefully appreciated. xx

Fill my glass half full with a splash of lemonade ( hate tonic) and some ice 😂😂 . I’m not very good at measures , nearly blew dh’s Head off when I did him a barcardi and coke.

I'm being tight tonight... I usually like Gordons, but not paying that price tonight, no offers... they are getting London Gin.

By the time the meal and the wine come out, I hope they wont notice.

I have got a measure and its 35ml, hope that's right, but tastes too weak so I put 50 in, that's a little better but is that too much ?

At least if I get them drunk, I can cheat at the games without them noticing. ….

My GF seems to think I make good G&T's but they are a little over the top.

Large Gin Glass
Ice Cubes or Crushed Ice
Double or Triple shot - Sipsmiths / Tanqueray / Sainsburys Black Friar (made by Greenalls)
Elderflower Tonic
a few palm crushed mint leaves
Then either - Whole Raspberries / Sliced Strawberries / Sliced Orange (With spirals of zest) / Sliced Lemon (With spirals of zest)
Stir well and hey presto!

What time shall I pop round ?

Have you got any medicine dosing cups? We'd got one off a bottle of Night Nurse so I measure 50ml using that and add a little bottle of tonic.

Aldi do a very good copy of Fevertree tonic so I'll have those at home. I don't drink G&T very often at home so it saves wasting bottles of tonic. The bottles are 200ml.

So, 50ml gin, 200ml tonic, slice of lemon and ice. Why don't you have a little practice before your friends arrive so you can appear to be a perfect mixologist

50ml sounds fine to me🤪. Try using just normal tonic, non of the flavoured ones then adding pink peppercorns and a sprig of rosemary or basil and halved strawberries. Buy good quality tonic though, Fentimans or Fevertree.

Have you looked at the fever tree wheel? It shows what gin should be paired with which tonic
