What kind of prices are those still waiting to book, holding out for? I’m starting to wonder if I’m being too unrealistic.

What are peoples experiences of booking late for August holiday time?
I've normally booked up long before now but due to circumstances I've not booked as yet. Don't really want to go via Europe airports, would prefer layover in US and not worried about MCO, TPA or MIA travelling from Londin airports.

Unrealistic?

Interested in this too. What is last minute from Ireland or UK to USA? Three months? Or do deals only appear closer to departure?

Virgin from Manchester have dropped this morning a little bit - might be worth a look.

I looked at 7th - 24th August

VA website. I should have said not MCO but other FL airports Inc Tampa.

I think they are discounting a couple of seats via atl each morning early, once they are sold the price goes back up.

The last 2 members of our group picked up MAN - ATL-DAB for £594 hand luggage only. More than we thought they'd have to pay but they were on the verge of pulling out altogether and going to the Caribbean instead.

That route is back up to over £700 now.

BA was a bit less this am for MAN - PHL-TPA. If you want a fly drive it might be worth costing it up on BA's website.

I've never known a year this bad for flights with not even indirects on US carriers discounted. And getting gouged for wanting to take a suitcase just adds insult to injury.

Finally caved in and booked tonight after a failed booking with on the beach.com and Thomas Cook yesterday!(flight not available at the website price , surprise surprise)
Happy to have booked , just outside my budget , but have paid for the hesitancy of not booking early enough! Hey ho you live and learn.
Paid £2523 for early Direct out with VA from Man and evening Mco-Glasgow-Man return . 15/8-30/8 for 2A and 1YA(15).
I’m Blaming Brexit! 😂

Anyone still haven't booked, or are we they only ones left? Still a bit too expensive for us, looking at Manchester 12/13 august to 27-29 august. Don't mind indirect but even those are expensive...and when we add on hotels etc for travelling from/to other airport it works out the same. Starting to get a bit nervous!
