easter vs school summer holidays ( end of july/august )
Hi, trying to compile a list of pros and cons for various times of the year to go to orlando, we will only be doing Disney this trip and have been a few times before..mainly march/april /may.
I am looking for peoples opinions on when they would go and why? unfortunately I am restricted to when I can travel as I now work in a school nursery. many thanks Katie |

I preferred mar/apr to the summer purely due to the weather, lots of sunshine and not as humid around Easter whereas when we went last 2 weeks of August it was humid and rained more than expected.

We always went in July until Wrestlemania in 2017 which was April. I must preferred the weather in April and thought the crowds were pretty similar. The benefit we find with the summer is that there is more flexibility for cheaper flights whereas Easter Hols we only have a 2/3 day window for departure.

Hi there, we are restricted to school holidays as my wife is a TA at school. We have been at Easter and summer. I have said never again at Easter as we found it the busiest time we’ve been, even though the weather is more stable. We go August last 2 weeks, it is very humid but you get used to it and there are some afternoon showers that mostly pass by quickly. We never had any rain until 2nd week last year. The crowds were much better in August also. We are going this August and it will be our 3rd year running..

I would say the weather is better in April but Easter are THE most popular weeks so I would imagine the crowds are up slightly but I don't think there really is a quiet time in the parks anymore

Look at some of the YouTube videos and tweets at the moment the crowds look insane, 3 hours at splash and half hour fast pass queues!

I prefer to take my chances with more rain in summer. Easter is mega crowded only surpassed by Christmas week which is human soup and unpleasant. I’ve also had days at Easter when it’s not not hot enough to swim. Finally it’s expensive at Easter. Summer for me. Last two weeks of August and if schools go back a few days later into September even better although we’ve never pulled that off personally.
