Thomas Cook question - please help

Hi all

Really need some help re this

We were in Florida when TC collapsed - and had our flights with them (not ATOL protected)

We managed to get 're-patriated' but on a delayed flight with limited food/drink, no entertainment and no premium

We had also booked/paid for premium economy.

A couple of questions...

1. I read somewhere that I can claim back the return flight from our credit card - is this correct?

2. Has anyone had a similar situation? How did you get on?

3. Is there a site that goes through this scenario that I can use for guidance?

Thanks in advance

I was in the same position as you. I have put in a claim, under section 75, for our lost return PE flights. I am a member of Which Legal so got some advice in case my credit card company try and deny my claim. According to Which, we are entitled to reclaim the return leg of our journey as TC didn’t fulfill the contract. I have put my claim in and await the response from my credit card company.

It seems to be a little bit of a black hole on time lines for this, have you been given any indications at all? My DD's school was told 2 weeks but 2 weeks have been and gone, they had 40 seats booked for next year so its looking like the trip will not be going ahead at all.

I rung my credit card provider as I too was in US when it all happened. I explained though that the repatriation flights wouldn't help as we were due back later than the 6rh and they refunded our return leg with TC almost immediately. I hope you get it sorted
