Do they stick with the same twin each night, or do they swap around?
I find that really nice

Our little Jackapoo is allowed on the couch and goes to sleep on our bed - but also has a pillow on throw on the bedroom floor.

My dog is allowed wherever she likes - she is always in whichever room I am in. If I’m in the living room, she is invariably sat snuggled into me in the sofa, and she is allowed on the bed, but only tends to lie on the bed when she feels the cold - most of the time she chooses her dog bed on the bedroom floor. She doesn’t cope at all with being shut out of a room if I’m in there, so always comes with me to the bathroom - she is my little shadow!

Our dogs have the run of the house. One of them sometimes spends a bit of time in his bed or on an armchair in another room and sometimes stays there at night, but more usually he would be where we are. The other one won’t leave our sides, in fact he usually insists on being on a lap. They are pugs so not too big and love to snuggle up.

Couch, yes, but not on the top of the cushion, as that makes them feel superior to you apparently..
Bed, no way. No animals in rooms at night. |

I started off with good intentions but after weeks of her howling at night, I gave up (through sheer exhaustion) she now sleeps on the bed but never IN it. She comes up on the sofa if I’m sitting on it but otherwise, she has to be within a foot of me all the time! If we are out, she only has the hall, stairs, landing, kitchen and conservatory (there’s a little sofa in there with a throw over it) so, she sleeps on there in the day. The little scamp can open doors so we now have little bolts on the outside of the bedroom doors after finding her in a bedroom one day, helping herself to things she should NOT have been eating! Strangely, she’s never attempted to get in the lounge while we’re out. I often wonder what people would think if we ever came to sell. I’d have to explain that I don’t lock my daughters in their rooms!
