Easter holiday dates 2021

Afternoon all,

Quick question. We want to go April next year but after Easter holidays.

Am looking up the dates and am i right in saying Easter Sunday is a week or so before the Easter holidays start? Doesn't take much to confuse me! Lol! We are in Scotland if that makes a difference. My kids aren't school age so am blaming that! :o)

Just had a look on our local council and the 2021 Easter holidays starts on Thursday 1st April and they go back Monday 19th April. Easter Sunday is the 4th April.

My Local Authority has Friday 2 April � Friday 16 April as the Easter break.

At least a couple of areas break up on Friday 26th March and go back on Monday 12 April - Rotherham and Kirklees for example - although it does look like the majority break up on Thursday 1st April.

Holiday dates vary from local authority to local authority, and even from school to school in some areas so you need to look on their websites to check - that's assuming that they have the 2021 dates up (they really should, as they ought to know that people are booking holidays for next year).

Thanks all. I have managed to find the aberdeenshire dates and I think the holidays start early April until the 19th.

Hopefully we will manage to work around the Easter hols.

The easter "weekend" is Friday 2nd to Monday 5th April.

Because it is early April, some authorities have the holidays starting on Maundy Thursday, then the Easter weekend, then 2 weeks off returning Monday 19th April.

But there are some who want the Easter "weekend in the middle of the 2 weeks so finish on Friday 26th March then return Monday 12th April.

Think it may depend on whether they want a short Spring 2 half term or not.
