Tui Direct from Newcastle - limited service
BA - Newcastle via Heathrow to Miami or transfer to Gatwick for flights to MCO or TPA. KLM from Newcastle or Teesside (or Leeds) via AMS to MCO could be routes to start looking at. |

We flew Leeds to Dublin then onto mco with aer lingus
This time we are doing man direct to mco but are going 1st class on train... literally the same price as parking plus on trains from Manchester airport you apparently get a 3hr window incase of delays (which was always put us off doing this before!) We are coming from teesside x |

We flew with ba Edinburgh - Gatwick - Orlando
Way back was Orlando - jfk - Heathrow - Newcastle Way out was no probs at all, early start yes but all went smoothly Way back it wasn’t very fun not going to lie we landed Heathrow uk time 6am absoloutly exhausted having left our hotel 9.30am the previous day but the plus side when we landed in Newcastle and was just a short way home Flying direct from Gatwick and having to coach to and from next time will see how that one compares! Also look at klm from Newcastle via Amsterdam, not done this route but almost booked it, I have flown klm to Amsterdam before and they were great to fly with. |

Can anyone shed any light on how the Heathrow to Gatwick transfer is like? We are coming from Newcastle for first time and also trying to work out which route would be easiest :
- direct from Manchester (premium price plus transpenine express doesn’t seem that reliable) - direct from Gatwick (cheaper but need to drive or train to London) - 2 changes from Newcastle (Heathrow and Miami or JFK) - Heathrow/Gatwick change |
