It’s not new... Jelly babies have always been gender neutral.

Will all the Toy Story films be Re-dubbed to reflect the new name?

We bought my DD so much PH from Downtown Disney, as it was then. We bought a box every year for many years and my DH became an expert at fitting in lot of pieces. They’ve all gone to the grandchildren now. My son didn’t want Mr PH so he got the boxes of Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toy construction pieces. We have tons of both and he won’t let them be used by his son yet despite the fact I took them into school and used them in my classroom for years.

I'm confused having looked at the box... yes it says Potato Head at the top, but they're still identified as Mr/Mrs Potato Head elsewhere on the box. It's purely a marketing thing so that accessories can just be branded as 'Potato Head' and can use them same packaging - rather than having them separated for Mr/Mrs...

I’m surprised they aren’t trying to sell multiple versions rather than just the single “Potato Head” plus accessories:

Mr Potato Head
Mrs Potato Head
Miss Potato Head
Dr Potato Head
etc

Let’s face it though, this is just a marketing ploy to get us all talking about this toy and rolling our eyes. And, unsurprisingly, it worked.
