We used Ever After Holidays in 2018 when they beat a Thomas Cook package price quite comfortably. We were booked for 2020 and moved to 21 with no issue. I book a combination of DIY/package for other trips but for Disney would definitely recommend EAH.

Both times I used a 'Travel Manager' which I think is just an online travel agent who is part of Hays Travel. We were recommended her services by friends for our Disney honeymoon (she specialises in honeymoons) but she has also booked other holidays for us, friends and family. We had our May 2020 trip refunded very quickly and painlessly and transferred a deposit for Mexico March 2021 to a different holiday in September 2021. By booking through an independent agent all parts of the holiday can be customised which I found useful. Whilst I know packages are sometimes more, Covid made me very glad that our holidays were all ABTA and ATOL.

We've always booked Disney through Disney and then a BA Flydrive, we would log in every month and pay some off. We're not doing Disney next year so have booked a Virgin fly drive to Miami that we are happy with.

Have you looked at TUI to see what their prices are like?

I've only ever booked directly with Disney (either as a package or DIY) or directly with BA.

Disney have always been amazing! Great customer service, can cancel up to 7 days before trip for a full refund, low deposit etc. If I'm doing my trip DIY I booked hotel & park tickets with Disney directly and then book a flight with BA but add on a night at an airport hotel in Gatwick to make it into a package and get ATOL protection!

You end up saving a lot more money doing it DIY but I can understand why people do packages

What would concern me is that some people here have said they are now tied to an agent as they didn't get a refund but a 'free' transfer of dates but they then had to pay another packet as the new dates new now more expensive according to the agent. And the likes of loveholidays just left ABTA and agents are free to leave ABTA at any time. So I wonder what protection do you really have with an agent that you don't have booking with a credit card? I'm not completely anti-TA but I do wonder if this 'protection' is now an outdated concept considering how many people here have been left with issues with agents while it was very easy to deal directly with airlines, Disney directly. Even when Air Canada said they wouldn't do refunds I was able to dispute with the cc and had the money back 2 days later.

Thanks for the replies. For those who have booked with Disney and mentioned how flexible they were, did that include flights?

TBH, at the moment I dont think you can beat booking direct with both Disney and the Airlines. I have heard so many issues going through travel agents lately especially with Covid, cancellations and refunds.

I've always booked direct with Disney.

If the flights weren't avaliable at the time of booking, i just paid the £50pp deposit to lock in the dates, hotel and tickets and then when flights become available I just ring them back up to add the flights and pay the extra £100pp to top the deposit up to include the flights on the booking.

We have booked with a Travel Counsellor (Cinders Mum on here). Everything changeable or refundable. Helen’s service is superb.
