Bedlington Teriers
We know our gentleman of a Visla won’t be with us for long now and we have friends who have Beds and in many ways
The are so like Vislas ie Velcro dogs where we=are they are 24/7 and that’s fine we know the grooming the separation anxiety Best with dog aware children supervised issues as we do right now anyway We walk dogs never left unless it’s essential in an emergency Otherwise we’ve got back up for days out meals out cinema trips etc Really anything else we need£to know I can groom and clip As needed it’s a Bedlington or a Skye Terrier or as DH say a half a dog high 2 dogs long we loved our Skye’s poetry in motion if the are groomed right |

Saw this breed on the grooming show tonight, the 4 that were on seemed really laid back xx

Bedlingtons. Where have they all gone? I used to see them quite a bit many years ago but I don't think I have seen one around here for 20+ years.
Funny how a breed falls out of fashion, quite sad. Nice dogs.

We regularly meet two Bedlington terriers (different owners) when out walking our cocker spaniel. Both are called Bertie and both are very friendly and affectionate dogs. One in particular walks over to sit on our feet and often follows us when we move on - I'm sure he would follow us home if he was allowed! They seem to have a lovely temperament but I don't know if that is typical for the breed.

I wish people were more considerate when they decide on thread titles. I've been having flashbacks to 1998 when Colchester were knocked out of the FA Cup by Bedlington Terriers in one of our many, many embarrassing results and, with our current form, I'm suffering enough as it is

The stadium is being used as a vaccination venue now! At least Colchester are winning at that!
Ive been there for seminars in the past few years! They are Zoom webinars now!

Helen, Bedlington is the best choice. I haven’t seen one for years, only on Crufts.
