Any advice would be appreciated

Show it everywhere and ask!

Universal definitely.

And remember discounts on Hertz, Hotels / Airport Parking etc.

The savings are to do with the Show your Card logo (which should be on the back of your AA membership card).

The link to the website which details the discounts is below:

aaa/PPInternational/International.html

You need to scroll down to the "Show Your Card and Save" bit, where the logo is, and then click on "United States and Canada". You can then put in the area you are looking for discounts in (Orlando etc) and the various discounts available with your card are listed.

There may of course be more discounts available when you get there which aren't listed perhaps!

Take your AA card with you as well when you go.

Also I read somewhere that you may on occasion be asked your Club Code (which is basically the code for AA Members from the UK for the Show and Save discounts). The code for the UK if you need that is 428.

Had forgotten all about AAA discounts, duh, thanks for reminding me, I have used it in the past for Universal hotels and also for the Dolphin.

Another tip - if you are a member you usually get your card sent out before you actually renew...so... in theory, you don't have to join if they are not the cheapest and still could use your card in Florida.

Green Insurance were the best price when I renewed this year, and as my car is quite new and just used locally, I'll give them a try.

AA Card

Thanks for the replies. I am just concerned the AAA logo is no longer on the reverse of the card. I am sure it was on last years card.

My old card from Feb 2011 doesn't have the AAA logo, I can't remember it being there in recent years anyway.

Never had an issue in using it, it's the Arc Europe "show your card" logo that works.

Do they swipe it or just look at it?

I used it just recently in Lenscrafters when buying a pair of frames. No questions asked... just applied the discount to my shiny new Chanel specs!
