Virgin Atlantic economy food

Hiya was just wondering if anyone on here has flew recently with VA? We are flying from Manchester on the 18th March and would be interested to know what the childs meal has been on offer or what it usually consists of? Or in fact what the adult meal on offer has been?
I will be taking snacks on with us but I have a 11 and 15yr old non pasta etc eaters! LOL so was in 2 minds wether to request child meal for them instead of adult as when I spoke to them they said the age of the child didnt matter. Thanks in advance

Hi, we went Oct/Nov 2012 and I had sausage and mash; DD had vegetarian which was a pasta dish and DGS4 had a childrens' meal which was a cheesy pasta bake. I'm not sure what the alternatives were. I'm sure this has been asked a few times, so maybe do a search?

It's usually bangers and mash, pasta dish and chicken in cheese leek sauce with veg, the cheese and onion sandwich and cupcake was actually better. The cupcake tasted quite homemade and not too sickly with nice butter icing. Overall I think Thomson/First Choice food was much better!

We are in FL now, flew out with VS from MAN on Tuesday. The meals were exactly this. I had the sausage and mash, it was edible. My DD had a pasta child's meal.

Cheese sandwiches for the kids later, cheese and onion for the adults. Really small finger sandwiches like you get for afternoon tea! For some reason the kids get 3 fingers, the adults only 2!

I have a 4yr old none pasta eater and guess what, it was a cheese pasta with a dollop of tomato like stuff on the side. Return was beef with mash, veg and gravy, trouble is he won't eat gravy either! Snacks wise it's 3 finger sandwiches of chicken, egg and cheese and onion. Adults only get 2 sandwiches!
Deserts were tiramisu and Black Forest gateau - for kids?!
