Thanks, we've had a very easy couple of days and he's doing a bit better. He gets ill every time we go away, so far whatever we've tried to do to help doesn't work, so we're just used to having fun anyway 🙂

I think we may have over estimated our stamina to do that much in one day 🤣🤣
Yes, leftover Blaze is the perfect breakfast!

Thanks 🙂🙂 I've mentioned this to him and he said he was thinking of trying Teak, so this may have moved it up the list!

Day 9
Moving hotels day today. Started with putting our washing on and getting a Guardians VQ, group 9 this time - he's slacking 🤣🤣
My breakfast was a burrito, I think this was an instacart sub as I'd tried to get a breakfast burrito. But I'm fine with non breakfast foods at breakfast time, so doesn't matter either way. Not exciting, but perfectly nice. DH had a porridge pot which I did not take a photo of. Then off to Epcot for Guardians, which was a walk on. Disco Inferno this time, so that's four different songs on four rides 😁 We then did the Moana water attraction, as we'd missed this up until now. A nice addition to the park. Then Nemo was down, so we just went into the seas so see Lil Joe 😍 We spent about an hour in Epcot and we're on a bus back to Saratoga at 10. Checked out just before 11 and took a Lyft to Sapphire Falls. Checked in straight away and our room was ready and I was taking these photos at 11:31. DH was still a bit run down so I went to the shop and picked up some decongestants and a cinnamon bun. I'm not sure which was most effective, but he picked up after those. We went down to the pool for a little, then headed into Universal briefly. It's so nice being able to walk into the parks, popping into the preview centre on the way. Lots of fun to see this and even more fun listening to the variety of facts shared by people looking at it, could pass hours just listening 🤣🤣 We explored the new dreamworks land. DH suggested we go in the show, which is very unlike DH, so those medications must have done a great job! Then we rode ET, which went down for a bit while we were in the queue. But we were in no rush and it's a nice queue, so all good. We headed back to the hotel and looked at options on Uber Eats. We ended up ordering from Mexican Camel, which is a restaurant we were planning on visiting, but this was nice and easy. It's Mexican food where you can build your own burrito/bowl and theres loads of options including a Mediterranean section. I had a nice bowl, with loads of toppings and added hummus. DH had a chicken burrito. There was an offer on where we got two of each, so all of that delivered was $50.58 and that did us two meals. It's hard to get the scale from the photos, they were massive. It was a nice combination of fresh good food, but covered in yummy sauces so it didn't feel like I was eating anything too healthy. The stand out has to be trying picked turnip 🙂 I absolutely loved this, DH enjoyed it but it's definitely more my food than his. I think we ended up back in the room ready to go to sleep before 8 🙈

Thanks both 🙂
DH really enjoyed the bun, the walnuts made it a bit different.

Day 10
Started with a rather unexciting breakfast in the room of half a cold bagel with hummus, which didn't get photographed. Then we headed over to Volcano Bay without phones, so there were no photos for the morning.
We managed to fluke out being the third and fourth people in the park. Got great seats with proper shade then went to Krakatau and also managed to be the third and fourth people on that, they let us stay on so we had two rides with zero queues. Spent the first hour or so going on rides with next to no queues then headed back to the loungers for root beer and cookies we had brought with us. Read about half my third book of the holiday then came back to the hotel for a shower and lunch. We took our leftovers from the night before over to Aventura as there's a microwave in the food court there and I don't think there's one in Sapphire Falls. Nice to see Aventura and our lunch was great. The Mexican Camel will definitely be on our lists for future visits, but we've got to actually make it there now. We took it easy for a bit, headed over to HHN about 4. I've written about our night in the HHN thread, but it was a great first visit for us this year. Food wise I had pizza fries. Complete junk and tastes amazing. DH went to Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America (Near Café La Bamba) and had: Spinal Column Pinchos – $10.99 Grilled chicken tenders with red chimichurri Chocolate Tres Leches – $5.99 Milk-soaked chocolate cake with whipped topping and canela We were hiding from the rain in the dark, so these may not be the best food photos I've ever taken. Chicken on a stick was cold, but once DH got used to that he enjoyed it. It tasted like a spicy salsa on chicken, although it was a little messy. He said the tres leches dad described as like school chocolate cake soaked in cinnamon milk - but in a good way. He enjoyed both of these! We left just before 10 and managed to pick up Voodoo donuts on the way back, my PB&J really makes DH's two donuts look tiny! This is where it went a bit wrong. It took a couple of bites to find the jam in the middle and when I got there it wasn't jam it was a cream filling. It's not a nice feeling biting into something and having a bit of paranoia that it's not something you're ok with eating. But luckily I was very tired after HHN and managed to fall asleep find and not get stressed about it. I went back today and they were very apologetic. Two different employees reassured me that while it was the wrong filling it definitely was a vegan one. They gave me a couple of donuts to say sorry. So all's well that ends well - although I may be cutting my donuts in half to see what's there before I have a bite for a little while.

I love your room at sapphire falls and that cinnamon bun looks delicious. I’m pleased your DH perked up after some sugar and cold medicine. Mexican Camel looks like it offers some fab food, I love a ‘bowl’ and we often have them for dinner at home. 😋 Pizza fries look amazing and I’m sorry about the donut incident 😬 I hope you are feeling ok and that was good of them to offer replacements too. Xx
