I can’t believe we go this week!

The past few weeks have absolutely flown by, and here we are on Monday 2nd September - the week of our trip!

We have had lots of wonderful weekends and celebrations leading up to this point, and despite that, this happened on Friday -

Woo hoo! I was so chuffed!

I may or may not have put on a couple of lbs this last weekend since, but we won’t talk about that! I’ve got a few days to correct it 😬

We did eat some delicious food this weekend, including some fabulous mac and cheese and steak from Pasture which has just opened in Birmingham 😍

We’re now looking forward to this kind of food when we’re away! Texas Roadhouse, here we come!

Anyway, just thought I’d give a little update on our plans…

We decided to cancel Teppan Edo in favour of doing MNSSHP.

We were limited on the dates we could do this as I didn’t want to do it the night before our Discovery Cove day as want to be up and out that morning and I didn’t want to do it on my birthday evening, which just left our last night in Disney before heading to the cruise. So, we’ll be going out of Disney with a bang!

We have watched a fair few YouTube videos and have made a list of what we want to try, including the twix dessert, the peanut witches hat and the spicy chicken burger.

Food and Wine has also now started and again, we have watched a couple of videos so far (hopefully some more today), and will go in armed with a list - I do love a list!

We got an email this morning from Virgin asking us to choose our PE meals.

These were the choices -

I have chosen the breaded chicken after reading good things about it and despite my recommendation, DH has chosen the mac and cheese. Think he’s going to be seriously disappointed after that delicious mac and cheese we had on the weekend!

We purchased LLMP yesterday for 4 of our park days (one in each park) as well as Standby Skipper, so we’re looking forward to seeing what we can get done in those days.

I have put together 3 snack bags for the plane, one for DH and I and one for the crew. I know we have the wonderwall but I like to know what choice I have. We have downloaded MPC and have ticked ‘yes’ to the food question as the snack bags are huge and we won’t eat everything in them so will be taking goodies with us into USA.

We have the day off work today (to recover from our 3 day bonanza weekend &#129322 so the plan is to run through our cases and make sure we have everything we need and make sure the weights are split evenly. We have 4 cases, two for hand luggage plus a rucksack each!

I’m at the salon Saturday morning whilst DH drops our pooch to his sitters, then we’ll be headed for Manchester airport for twilight check in with Virgin before we check into the Premier Inn where we have booked the meal deal and breakfast.

So exciting! Pasture sounds really good, I want to go there - was there anything in particular you'd recommend?
