Good idea, but the brits guide is one of the last few reads i prefer in paper, just something about having that book around the house to remind us we will be back there at some point

Yes, we're like that, too. There's nothing like having the book in hand to make it feel 'real.'

I have used the Kindle version for the past 3 years and it works fine on a touchscreen tablet to view maps, charts etc. I've bought many print editions before that and I discovered the original1995 book on the bookcase recently. A lot of changes since then! I've found the series invaluable and wouldn't go without it. Many thanks for all the effort that goes into it.

Many thanks for your comments, Jim. That's just the fillip we need just now. 2020 was a pretty horrid year for all things Florida, but we had hopes 2021 would see us moving back in the right direction. It's not happening yet, sad to say. We just need some calm, positive energy right now.

Hi sorry if this has already been answered. Trying to order the 2021 guide on amazon but not allowing me order or even preorder a paper copy? Only kindle version. Your book is always our go to book pre trips 🤞 we actually get to go this year

Thanks

Yes, Amazon is proving an impossible barrier with their automated system this year. I'll be posting an update shortly. The Kindle version remains fully updated, but we know most people prefer a hard copy of the book, so we're trying to figure out how to get around this impasse.

OK, folks, here is another update, direct from the publisher. At considerable financial risk (and at a time when the book trade is being especially unsupportive), Foulsham are going to go ahead with a limited print run that they will aim to sell directly to the public (probably on shopify.com). Unlike Amazon, it probably won't be at the kind of discounted rate you usually see there, but it WILL be the all-new edition and it will be available directly in the UK (not sure if it will be possible to obtain in the US; we suspect not).

The wheels for this are only just beginning to turn, hence it could be a few weeks before we get our own stocks back from the printer (in Malta) and then get the distribution in place.

But, if we can bear with us - and keep the full interest of The DIBB behind it, we can hopefully get this in people's hands long before Florida is fully open again In fact, we might even have to re-christen it the Special DIBB Edition!

Thanks again, Simon
