That is one reason I have struggled replying to this post too.

I am glad you will keep reading as a distraction , your attention to detail and your wonderful replies show a dedication to seeing this through to the end, I won't disappoint

Throughout all of the typing up of this day the bouncing excitement of the boy on the table next to us was such a joy, one that you look back and yearn for. The photos of our boys serve as a reminder of the magic of those days too.

As for silver linings of the villa, there are so many - TV showing UK sports was a start
You are ahead of me on the hot tub with a beer or wine though
Will leave the whole own bathroom and bedroom to your imagination though

As for The Great British Waffle podcast - delighted you listened to the April show - we have a mid month one upcoming V.soon about Disney + and have a Disney Quiz on our you tube channel too.

Have a click here if you want your brain fried by the quality of questions and the sounds round too.

It's tough and will challenge you ( no google cheating allowed though!)

As for the May show - if you thought the culling of Nemo was hard - I'm hosting the show and have devised even more difficult moments to decide between

Appreciate your continued reading, support and also aware of your predicament about the summer x

Stay safe , hold those in your own home tight and lets all see what is on the other side of all of this.
Everything feels on a knife edge doesn't it? Yet, when I look out my window and see the sun shining I'm grateful as the world is still turning and today isn't going to be a bad day, perhaps it won't be how we'd usually spend Good Friday, but it will still be a good day. You are right, we are safe and well, that's enough.

I'm going to save the quiz for later, kids are still a bit sleepy and they will be forced to enjoy it! I've not even cheated by clicking on the link and getting a head start. I'm feeling pretty proud of myself for that!

Kate wants to talk about our trip this summer every day when we go out for a walk. Part of me feels this is a bad idea as it will likely lead to disappointment yet I still answer the questions and don't shut down the conversation as she wants to talk about it. I think when you're 13 three months is a long time and she can't imagine all this still going on by then. Yesterday she wanted a run down of the plan for the first few days. She was keen to know what we'd be doing, which parks and rides, where we would be eating. She's happy as I'd put AK in for the first morning as we have EMH, I'm hoping we could rope drop FOP as you have done in the past. If we do get there and we do manage to rope drop FOP I will spare a thought for the dibber who sparked the idea. And if we don't get to go, well, hopefully there will be trips in the future.

Take care xx

Give Kate a hug from us - the youthful determination will see you all through.
Good luck with the quiz and you know something- FoP will be there for every future trip. Just keep reminding yourselves of that. I know it is hard.

Keep safe and take care too - we will al be able to enjoy our happy place on the other side xx

Fingers crossed he still feels the same way when we get there.
Don't you just love Handy Manny!
The photo is one that will be forever used in a nice way about Joe. Special pic.

The character meet and greet stuff has been a gradual thing for the boys and we have also pulled back on the mission to sign stuff too - the vinylmations in the pic to the left really made for some fab pics as did hats, blank canvas and chalkboards too.
They have a greater freedom in the parks now and meeting characters seem less important

Hope your eldest gives you that bit of a buzz - take a look back to 203/2014/2015 trips to see how my eldest was lapping up those character meet and greets at that age - magical

As always thanks for posting and reading - appreciate it

A fab last on-site day.
The breakfast buffet looks great, nothing beats an American omelette and a Mickey waffle!
It’s lovely reminiscing when the kids were younger and had such an innocence to them when meeting the characters. My two were 12 & 10 the first time we visited WDW so a little too old for thinking the characters were real but we had visited Disneyland Paris when they were much younger and I’ll never forget my DD looking up at Ariel (her favourite Princess at the time) with so much awe, it makes me well up looking back at the photos.
Lovely photo of you all in front of the Tree of Life too plus one more ride on EE and FoP.
Ah the first Publix shop of the holiday, strangely one of my favourite pastimes on holiday, the villa looks perfect too!

I'm glad you are looking forward to the next bit as the whole holiday changes so much when you go off site - not for the worse either. Space, time and just an opportunity to go at a pace that allows for a bit of time to breathe!
Days 12 and 13 are posted - might not make for a great read , but we were in desperate need of resetting and just allowing the Yacht Club stay to soak in a bit.

Appreciate your post as always and have noticed your changed countdown too
To see you are heading home for Christmas is something really special .

Stay safe and enjoy that countdown
Whilst we love being onsite, we are terrible at taking it easy! We don’t feel so guilty going at a slower pace when we are off site. I’m pleased that you are looking forward to the change of pace.

We have decided to postpone our Summer trips (we are hoping to do them in 2021) however I am still hopeful that we will get home for Christmas. It is times like these that you really appreciate Family and how lucky we really are. Take care and I hope you are all well and safe.

The breakfast and leaving was really difficult I think we could just have unpacked and stayed here forever!

Priceless memories of character interactions and just amazing to think of where the time has gone - too quickly!
I'm with you on that first Publix shop of the holiday - it is such a lovely moment - had not thought of it like that , yet I have to admit I do love Publix to shop in .

The villa was superb and will tell of more in upcoming days .

Thanks for reading - leaving a comment and reminding me why I love Publix

Aw thank you

As you have read, I was seriously thinking of just stopping all of this due to the situation we all find ourselves - your post has really made me recognise that I do need to carry on and get to the end - sharing a bit of positivity along the way - THANK YOU xx
