What’s been your highlight of the day ?

Sadly for me it was strangely satisfying to clean out the conservatory guttering of leaves and winter detritus... then a clean of the guttering surfaces, soffits and surrounds ...

Strange how little things are now satisfying...

Seeing it snow... it's the little things

We went for a walk to our local park. It was lovely having the sun shining and it actually felt warm even thought there was frost and snow on the ground and actually really cold.

Shopping in Aldi then going to Tesco for a second outing for the things I couldn’t get in Aldi.

Getting my daughter's 18th birthday balloons filled from Home Bargains since i was due to collect some from Card Factory today. She has something she wanted.

My new washer machine arrived. I hate having a full laundry basket. 2 loads done for today 👍🏻

My son FaceTiming me but we only got a 30 second call before the internet cut us off. Had to make do with a text message but it was lovely to see him.

Despite falling over in the mud, we had a lovely walk across the suspension bridge which is a first for me. Had a lovely hot chocolate and it’s the first time I’ve been outside since Christmas Eve. Headaches gone so hoping this helped me feel better.

I put a lamp in the conservatory so it shone on the patio. Then I got the bbq out, and put it on the patio, and cooked in the light of the lamp on the patio. We've just finished eating and it was lovely. Decided to do this before Christmas, as we thought "why not, let's do it". Had an ale while cooking and another one while eating. Sitting here now very contented. 😁
