Looks like you go the same months as us :-).
Here’s hoping Nov 2021 is a great month to get back to Orlando |

We don't have children at school now (they are both in their forties ) so we can avoid peak season so yes April going into May and November going into Dec are our regular times.
We had our Bob Evans Thanksgiving turkey dinner in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Hope to be there this year. Mick

One quick rider on this - SS updated their policy documents in November. They still publish the previous versions but haven't checked the differences. I haven't purchased yet, but am interested in the changes in case they are relevant. Will have to research further when I get time.

For my Europe trips I always book rooms with Iberostar (Canaries) and they throw in full insurance. I have Easter booked now, in the low hope that will come off. No deposit necessary, great prices at mo with stacked discounts.
I’m with Direct line household. To be honest they are good as useless. I’ve been trying to get an internal flight paid from them since August. Still nothing, periodically email me and say can they have even more documents. I’ll move into the complaints process when I get around to it. I may buy Staysure just before we go in Summer or Xmas to US. No point getting it before, trips are fully cancellable.

I've looked at Staysure but they say you are only covered for cancellation if you bought the policy before 16 March 2020.
We paid a non-refundable deposit for March this year (booked Nov 19) so I don't think we'll be able to get insurance to cover that when we inevitably can't go. Does anyone have an advice please? |

But if you cant travel, surely the vendor should be doing the refund?
I haven't heard of anyone on here having to use insurance for this. I had several non-cancelable bookings (hotels and flights) and all were refunded (though I have to do a. ChargeBack for Virging flights). |

It's our apartment booked through trip advisor, the T&Cs say that if we don't pay the balance or cancel before the balance is due we lose the deposit, I'm not sure if we would get a refund if we are not allowed to go, I thought that's when we'd want to claim on travel insurance.
