In comparison, 4% isn't that huge. We've had much bigger than 4% jumps during some days in October and September, albeit not overnight.

By the way, the rate is now reducing after that 4% jump, from around $1.35 early this morning to $1.333 now. Still, it's definitely better than it was yesterday.

Intra day movements are inevitable, long term trends are more important. Lets hope that is north.

Withdrew $300 from Cape Coral's WaWa on Weds, interbank rate was circa $1.3150. $1.3154 rate was entered when the withdrawal hit 'pending' on my Halifax Clarity account within an hour - having checked again today it remained at $1.3154.

I check interbank rates via THIS website
