I always slip a waterproof into my zipped pocket on outside of case. More so for the journey home when you land back and have to look for your car in a dark cold car park. You could do this in reverse, wear your waterproof to the airport and stick into your pocket before checking in. Or if taking a car, leave your warm jacket in the car and make a run for it to the car park shuttle bus.

In any case, you'll be in the warmth soon, whereas we will still all be here in the cold. Have a great time.

We’re off tomorrow as well.

As we’re in Nth London we’re getting the tube to Victoria and then the Gatwick Express. We’re wearing jogging bottoms and tshirts with a thick hoody. It maybe a bit chilly when we’re walking to the tube at 5am but shlapping the suitcases should soon warm us up 😂😂

Layers for on the plane, usually it’s either too warm or chilly for me.

I don’t take a jacket because I never have room in a case coming home ! Leave it in the car and hope it’s not raining !

I think it depends how you are getting to the airport. I usually dress for my destination and if I am slightly too cold getting to the airport so be it.

Layers.

I always take socks & slippers for the plane but wear ballet flats.
Take a jumper that can be removed easily.

Unless you are walking outside in the rain, I wouldn't take a jacket.
