Touring Plans / Specific Room Request

Hello

We're due to check in to Caribbean Beach resort in a couple weeks.

Does anyone know if it's possible to request a room by number? And if it is possible, what's the best way to do it?

I've heard of people sending a request through touring plans, has anyone had experience of this?

I know the touring plans site advises what to put for room requests. The problem is if the specific room you want has already been allocated to a guest who's holiday starts before yours. Good luck. I hope you get the area you want.

We used the touring plan request at the YC this September we got the room we wanted so it worked for us.

We have put our request in via touring plans and you have to subscribe to be able to do so but only about £10 so thought it was worth the risk! 😊

I did mine through touring plans last year and perry much got the room I asked for.

I used the requested via touring plans and couldn't have been given a room further away from what I had requested! I guess it's just the luck of the draw.

We used the touring plans fax ahead for 3 rooms at SSR - we got the room requested and the other 2 rooms were in the same block as us. 100% success rate

I think it's best to request the type of room you want, instead of the exact room number. If they can't allocate you that room you could end up anywhere, whereas the type of room gives them a bit more flexibility. Also make sure you're requesting rooms you're actually likely to get, for example, unless you've paid for safari view or boardwalk view you're unlikely to get it unless they upgrade you.
