So if I register my cards on the web page, and then shop in any partner store, does it automatically give me air miles for that purchase?

Would that be in addition to, or instead of, a purchase made through the Shops Away site itself.

e.g. - if I go to Apple via Shops Away directly, I get the airmiles for what I spend from that referral. If I go to Apple store and pay with the same credit card, I get miles anyway?

you would get airmiles for the purchase so if you bought online through the site then you would get that amount but are you asking if you used the credit card would you get more miles?

On the Shops Away site you can also register debit / credit cards that when you make a qualifying purchase without going through SA site, you get air miles - I just cannot get head round how it works

so when i physically shop at matalan and use a registered card i get awarded miles for the purchase. i always forget but get an email confirming my purchase and that x miles will be credited to my account.

The in store miles are only applicable to a few shops. These are the current in-store offers: shop.virgin-atlantic/en/...popular&page=1

It doesn’t look like Apple is one of them, so you would only get miles on any online purchases at Apple.
