Mobile Vertical or horizontal blinds - pros and cons please

We have decided on our new windows and want blinds when they are done.
I see vertical and horizontal but not sure which to choose and would really appreciate any tips/pros/cons to help choosing.

Have gone for the grey outside/white inside blinds and at some point plan to have the living room decorated grey/monochrome/neutral.

We went for day/night blinds as when they are open they dont block any of the glass. They look really modern.

My daughter has these in her house, I am seriously thinking of getting them for the three bedrooms on the back of the house instead of Voile asI was planning. She calls them Zebra blinds tho.

We have wooden Venetian blinds all through the house apart from the conservatory which has vertical blinds.
I love the Venetian blinds but the downside is they get quite dusty and take a while to clean.
The vertical blinds I don't like at all but they came with the house.
The biggest problem I have with them is 2 of my cats love to lie on the window ledges so the blinds get a lot of hair on them and it takes ages to clean them.
We also had to take the chains off the bottom of them as the cats kept getting caught in them.
I can’t wait to get rid of them

We got rid of those at the villa, they are always falling off. We had the windows tinted and draw curtains put in. I wish we could do that here.

Wide slatted heavy plastic Venetian blinds, look like wood.
Love them, to keep clean you vacuum them with the brush utensil.

Yea, Zebra blinds are the same thing. I meant to put that in brackets in my post).
