I know it’s early but I’m just checking to see how much competition there is in CW. I know probably not many at the mo. Also would be good to get a better idea of which plane we’ve currently got allocated.
LGW-Mco 27/7/21 - BA2037 Mco-LHR 11/8/21 - BA0204 Thank you Kat

Hello Kat11 - no problem. BA 2037 - scheduled to be operated by a 777 - 200 ER which has been refitted so it has the following configuration 32J/52W/252Y All cabins Wide Open but at this moment in Club World it reads as follows CW - only row 1 DEFG occupied and 4E/K blocked BA 204 - scheduled to be operated by a 777-200 ER with a configuration of 48J/24W/205Y. All cabins Wide Open but at this moment Club World it reads as follows CW - No seats occupied but 4E/11E blocked so literally open. All aircraft and seats subject to change but hopefully that will give you a chance to check the seat maps. Hope that helps. |

Thank you stanlycamel that’s great. So we could be on the new fit plane outbound? 👏🏼 If so I wouldn’t bother paying for seats as they are all pretty separate aren’t they? I can’t see the map because I changed our Heathrow flight to Gatwick and not received my revised e-ticket yet.
Is the return showing as the old style then as that’s the map I can see (which we didn’t change) and looks like the old style. Either way I won’t be rushing to book seats just yet! 😂 I’m off to check the seat maps so might be able to answer some of my questions myself. Thanks again, very useful! Kat

Hi Kat - Sorry I should have made myself a little clearer about the refitted aircraft. Over the last couple of years 777's which were based at Gatwick were refitted mainly in the Economy cabin from 9 to 10 abreast with tweaks to PE and Club. These aircraft still have the Club World seats as opposed to Club Suites - its confusing with similar names.
Enjoy your research about seat maps but beware it's addictive |

Haha I’ve already got both seat maps in my open tabs! I can see it’s a similar layout but a much smaller cabin. I’ll keep an eye out and get back to you closer to the time. 😁
Kat

Hello Stanley - me again - can I ask one more time about my flight please. BA haven't cancelled and it doesn't look as though they will so am just having one last ask before I phone them for a voucher. Thank you in advance (again - last time honest)

No problem.
BA 2037 Club - 10 seats occupied, 20 seats unoccupied with 2 blocked WTP - 23 seats occupied, 22 seats unoccupied with 3 blocked WT - 34 seats occupied, 11 blocked and rest completely empty. So definitely Wide open in WT . Loads are as expected but no sign of cancellation and we have no idea of BA's intentions but UK citizens as of todays date still can't travel on that route due to US restrictions. Good luck getting your voucher. Edited at 07:25 AM. |

I have been receiving a few PM's re flight loads and seat requests and I thought perhaps that now might be an opportunity to resurrect this thread. Hopefully flights for the middle of next year onwards will now be a little more accurate so happy to give it a try. I finally have time to spare to answer - sorry I haven't been around to help much recently

VS72, MCO to GLA on the 17th September only has Upper Class for sale for some reason. Can you shed any light? Our return is actually a week later on the 24th but I’m a bit concerned by this.

sha9 - The VS 72 looks wide open in all cabins
VS 72 UC - Wide Open with only 1 seat occupied PE - 14 seats occupied EC - only 7 seats occupied I think that as we are only looking at just within the 330 days that Virgin are still holding back and haven't fully released all fare buckets. I suspect the PE seats already occupied are from transfers from passengers unable to travel on their original ticket. You mention your return which I assume is GLA-MCO is 24th so they haven't been released yet so too early to tell. Edited: Sorry just realised that I think you mean that your MCO-GLA return flight will be on 24th but you are using the example of 17th to try to establish what may be happening. I think the same thing will apply to your "proper" date. Sorry about the misunderstanding Edited at 02:25 PM. |
