Got praise for saving someone's life yesterday.

Excuse the bragging, it's not something I feel comfortable boasting about on social media to people who actually know me!

Our medical director came to congratulate me yesterday, telling me I saved a patient's life last week - a rather nice feeling.

I had a routine, pre-operative consultation with a young, seemingly fit and healthy man last week, when I did our observations something just didn't feel right or add up to me, so I ran an ECG to check his heart rhythm.

Concerns were justified so I showed it to our anaesthetist and minutes later he was being blue lighted to A&E!

Still more than a little shocked / surprised over it but so relieved this was picked up.
