If you like PD then go for it. My main gripe with PD is the fact that it priorities the lower channel. So the bottom is what you see not the top. That can be changed. I also find Vegas Movie Studio easier to use. It doesn’t have all the titles of PD or Pip designs, but it is intuitive.
That said if you know PD it a great system.

I only need something for occasional projects. For example at the moment I'm putting some footage together for a 50th golden wedding anniversary but apart from that its holiday stuff etc
