I generally spend the day weeping and getting on the wives nerves! We usually try and get a last go on one of our favourite rides, last time our son was about 3 years old and th elast thing we dud was to meet the talking micky, that was a nice way to end it.

Then sulk all the way to the airport and get my final dose of minute maid lemoade!

We have done all sorts! Packed up, rope drop a park and stay until the last second.
Pool day at the hotel and used the poolside showers to clean up.
Downtown Disney (when it was), cinema and lunch.
Character breakfast and a last hurrah at MK.
Late check out, slept until 12pm, out the room at 1pm, QS lunch and DME.
Outlet shopping then the airport.
We sometimes book an extra night at the hotel so we can use the room all day as we need to if we are on the later flight.

We usually stay 3 weeks with first and last weeks on coast and an Orlando week in the middle. We stay in an apartment overlooking the ocean for first and last with beach, pool etc.

Since going with grandchildren we have sacrificed the last night in our apartment so we can stay until an hour before check in (Tampa) so we have un hurried wake up on last day. One of us takes the kids to the pool while others deflate the floaties and pack. We then have lunch of all the left over food in the fridge plus maybe crab cakes from the take away opposite (yum). Then showers and off to airport. Works fine.

We find park days too stressful on the last day so generally hang out at the hotel by the pool, maybe nip down to the local shops for a few last minute souvenirs. When I know I have to leave I just want to get to the airport and on my way - don't like dragging it out!

Usually a park if our flight is late enough. We leave our bags with Bell Services so no need to worry about storing hand luggage. We either book a pre park opening breakfast or go wherever had EMH.
