Yep, a lot of love for Epcot. And well overdue in my opinion. How it's being done may divide opinion (more characters) but progress and investment all the same.

This was meant to be a carousel. They may put it in yet. Also no Brazil. In fact the whole thing was very disappointing as there was virtually zero news which wasnt already out there.

It wouldnt surprise me if they have seen the potential of a recession and walked back announcements until they know theyll invest.
Disney has a long history of announcing new projects, only for them to see an economic downturn, then it to be quietly dropped. This pattern dates back to the opening of WDW when hotel plans were dropped around 7 Seas lagoon, when the oil crisis hit. One did eventually get built in a very different form- which is now Grand Floridian.
