Preston to Blackpool would be no more than 20/30 minutes by car and there is also good public transport links.
Hope your daughter settles in to her new job and finds somewhere nice to live.
Can also follow the North End! 😊😊

Haha brought up on Savick 😊 Larches Labour Club and Savick pub great early to mid 70s, happy days.
But yes nice part of Ashton, Lea would be good, 20 mins to Blackpool and Preston is good for younger generation.

Let us know where your daughter ends up living. The council buildings are right in the centre of Blackpool. There are three of them dotted around. The main council building being behind the town hall, the social services building next door to the new big Sainsbury's and housing opposite Abingdon Street Market. An exciting time for your daughter, a new job and a new place too live. All the best to her.

I live in Poulton-le-Fylde. Its as nice as Lytham but cheaper I'd never want to live anywhere else! Certainly wouldnt want to live in Preston if I was moving here alone from out of town, but thats personal preference.

Good luck to your daughter with her job!

Thank you all so much for your suggestions. We have decided to visit this weekend to look around the area before there are any more lockdowns as she will probably have to sign a 6 month contact on a room so she wants to see the area for herself. Understandably it’s not possible to go into houses to view rooms so her visits will be virtual. I have a list of places to drive around and the places we should avoid thanks to everyone which will save us some time.

Quite looking forward to our 1 night stay in Blackpool, not exactly our summer trip but it’s a night away from home and somewhere different to see.
