Virgin Holidays or TUI?
Hi everyone
We are currently looking at prices for next year (awaiting the ok from work so can't book just yet). Two good quotes we've got are from TUI and Virgin so just wondering if anyone has experience of going to Florida with both, which one would you choose to use again? There are slight differences between the two quotes with the flights TUI is Edinburgh to Sanford whereas Virgin is Glasgow to MCO but the rest is the same. We're about 15-20mins from Edinburgh, maybe 45-60mins from Glasgow (depending on traffic). We've flown with Virgin on the Glasgow-MCO route in 2017 but never done anything other than Spain with TUI so any experiences or opinions are welcome! |

Dreamliner for me. Flight will be into Sanford, which is a much smaller airport, meaning you should be through immigration quicker than MCO.

TUI on the Dreamliner to Sanford every time you can be deplaned through the airport driving out in your hire car within 40 to 45 mins (assuming of course all goes to plan)

I’d go whichever is cheapest. We had the same dilemma this year, same holiday but tui or virgin. It was £1000 cheaper with TUI and from our closest airport so we’ve gone with that. I am missing the excitement of going on the 747 but am more excited about the £1000 spending money!

Virgin for us. Have flown both and prefer Virgin due to a few factors, ie extra luggage allowance (we are shoppers and like to bring a couple of extra cases home). We prefer MCO to Sanford due to more options for shops etc and having Disney springs check inn.

Id go with the cheapest. I love the dreamliner but ironically we've had some very long waits at Sanford in the immigration hall. They just didn't seem to have the staff to cope.
On the other hand, virgin is overrated but does have disney springs checkin which we like and mco. Plus we earn virgin miles on shopping so that helps. Honestly they're both better than say thomas cook so either would do me |

I would go with the cheapest. Immigration can be just as long at Sanford, we waited hours to get through and ours was the only flight in the hall. The Dreamliner was great though.

We flew with TUI last year and had a lovely flight. Much preferred on the Dreamliner to Thomas cook, but haven’t had the pleasure of a virgin flight yet, but that will be changed come next year! We have ours booked already and the price was matched by virgin to TUI’s and as strange as it seems, flying on the big red bird is a bucket list wish.
Don’t be put off by Sanford, although further away, you will see the benefits of immigration and leaving the airport sooner.
