Another scam! Funny phone call!

Dh got a phone call shouting my sons name down the phone saying he had been having an affair with his wife. He knew our address, dh explained he wasn’t in the country and it wasn’t my sons phone he was calling. He told him he has a GF and it in Toronto with her so he’s got the wrong person. My dh then sent a message to my sons GF by mistake instead of my son (unbelievable) telling him what happend. My son doesn’t have a clue what’s it’s about, googled it and it seems to be a scam and him and his GF had a good laugh about it! Well it’s a new one on me!

I don’t know! They knew his name and had our address and husbands mobile. My son hasn’t had a affair it took him 27 years to get a proper GF!

I’m not saying it’s not a scam I just don’t understand how the scam works.☺️

If you google the number it comes up people swearing down the phone and there’s also one where they say your husbands been having an affair with their wife. I don’t know why though I thought someone on here might know!

That is one strange scam! People clearly have nothing better to do with their lives!

That’s a weird one. Not heard of that one. Not someone you know playing a joke ? Though not very funny.

I have heard of this , however they farm contact numbers off those who have numbers on social media profiles in 'settings not set private ' so people can look others up. Its quite a common one in fact, that and the other one doing the rounds now of random calls from primarily USA numbers , when you answer you are charged a small fortune .

It could be someone that knows dh and my son but I don’t know what they hoped to achieve! Probably never know!
