The windmill is on Lytham green on the seafront of Lytham. Lovely area. You can go inside the windmill and look round. Would love to live there myself, but sadly out of my price range.

Think she will find some really nice areas just out of Blackpool having the car. Great suggestions and if affordable Lytham, Poulton, Thornton all really good.
We park up at Lytham Windmill walk the dogs right along the prom and beach to St Anne's. Coffee at the end of the Pier, walk back and pint in the Queens😊 Perfect. In fact think we'll go in the morning, fed up of this Covid malarkey!

Good luck in her searches.

Oh I don't know 🤔 I never lived there but DH's parents did until 10 years ago, I think I remember it but it's a long time ago 😉

We had a look around and went inside the windmill but it’s a long time ago I do remember it being a lovely area.
There was a stream behind their house with ducks I’ve got some photos some where of the eldest 3 feeding the ducks.

They’ve made a good job of the new sea wall in the Fairhaven area.

Agree with those saying just outside Blackpool. Nowhere near Central, personally I would rather live in one of the villages nearby and drive in. If she's 21 she may prefer Preston as it's a busier place with a big university population so more to do for her age range? Only 20 mins to Blackpool from Lea/Ashton (but avoiding not Savick/Larches)

I have to agree. I wouldn’t want to live near central Blackpool ! The surrounding villages, Lytham and St Anne’s will be much nicer but also much more expensive and they attract an older population. Preston is a small city but will have a younger population, a lot more going on for a 21 year old and more affordable housing. Preston to Blackpool would be no more than 20/30 minutes by car and there is also good public transport links.
Hope your daughter settles in to her new job and finds somewhere nice to live.
