Can anyone recommend a really good treatment for mossie bites?

I’ve tried all the over the counter preparations and none relieve the damned itching!
I use repellent spray but the gits always seem to get the square centimetre that I missed.
I’ve tried those ‘electric’ zapper things, Afterbite dabber, branded spray stuff, witch hazel and stepdaughter in Australia sends us this ointment called Soov which is meant to work like bonjela on a mouth ulcer (forms a seal over the bite and supposedly has a local anaesthetic in it) - doesn’t work!

Any suggestions please?

Try vinegar, it's quite good, dab it on or put some on a damp cloth and lay it on the bite 👍

Take an antihistamine (one a day) which will help with the itching. I also use afterbite & reapply every now and again if its really itchy.

Good question I was bitten 11 weeks ago and they are STILL itching! I also take an antihistamine and use bite cream but the only get a few hours relief. It’s crazy.

A hot metal spoon held against the bite really works for me Sue. Just run it under the hot tap to heat it.

I feel your pain. They really go for all of us. I’m convinced though that we get bitten at night in bed so I started spraying myself in repellant before I went to bed and it seemed to work. Other than that I find that taking an antihistamine tablet helps with the itching also a block of ice applied directly to the bite. They are an absolute nightmare.

Someone once told me to apply hand sanitizer to the itchy area (as well as take a antihistamine). I do find this does help!
