:) August 2017 - Disney First 14 days or Universal?

Hi there. We're off to orlando for the last 3 weeks of August. I heard it should get less busy towards the end of our stay. We will get 14 days Disney and 14 day universal, with a week crossover. Which would be best to do the last two weeks?is Disney much busier? If so do we do that last or best to start with Disney as can use fast passes and do Universal last? Any advice please?

Hi, we did this exact same thing in 2016. We did universal first then Disney.
Disney is much quieter the last week and a half of August, we found it a much more enjoyable way of doing it.

Thanks for your reply. What were the wait times like at Universal? Was it manageable without fast passes?

Hi Were going the last 3 weeks as well and we are doing universal first and Disney last as the crowds should be better but we would probably have done it this way anyway as we prefer to have our last day at Disney.

I'd say it partly comes down to personal preference and partly the type of rides/attractions you hope to do. If I had very young kids, I'd probably opt to end at Disney, but we really loved Universal last time and are really into HP and coasters so that is where we like to finish. Either way, 3 weeks in Florida will be amazing.

Hi,
we are there in August and are doing Disney first then Universal, decided on this as my little lad is 9 whilst we are out there and he wanted to spend his birthday in Universal.

Thanks for all replies, I think we will probably do Universal first and Disney second as I think we will be spending more time at Disney so will make sense to go there when its not as busy.

We went for the end of August last year for 18 nights and started off with Disney and did universal in the middle, back to Disney and then sea world and DC and then Disney again. We literally only spent 2 days at universal and we didn't go to a Disney park till the 3rd day we were there as we were in Miami so they lasted us till the 5th September. It was still busy at the end of August/start of September but nowhere near as bad as we thought it would be.
