Buying a Banshee at AK

Hi alll
We are visiting Disney World in oct and my Son would like to buy a Banshee.
I keep reading reports of them selling out. I am wondering if this will still be the way in October or if the supply will meet the demand by that point.
I would like him to be able to select his own but am wondering if I should get one of the shopping services to get one ahead of time?

Any views or experiences would be good

We went on Sunday, our first day. We headed into wind traders about 10 and they had all the colours. Ds bought a purple one.
We got it delivered to the park gates to pick it up later.
Back at the hotel a women commented to him that he was lucky as they'd been sold out the last few days.
We were back in Pandora at night and even all the display ones were gone.
I've read if you are onsite your concierge can check if they have any and you could nip into AK to get one.

Funny enough it was your post that got me thinking about it! I would love him to be able to choose one as your son did but also don't want to be checking daily and having to change plans around to get to AK in the hope they have one.
We are staying at WL this time so not as easy to pop in as at AK.
We also have lots of breakfast book so don't want to mess them about.
Difficult to know how it will be by Oct?!

My son wants one too. Fingers crossed they have some as I've had him doing chores for me for weeks to earn the dollars!

It's great thanks. I'd say on the days you are going to AK go to windtraders early to check if they have any. Hopefully you will be lucky too.
