Discovery Cove questions ...

Hi all,

Very tempted to do this on our next trip rather than one of the usual water parks but have a few questions ...
  1. How many other places in the area (we are also staying in Key Largo for a week) offer a swimming with dolphins experience ?
  2. How strict is the minimum 12yrs old unaccompanied child dolphin swim ?
  3. Other than the dolphin swim is the day worth it ? How many levels of ticket prices are there ? I see at least (a) inc SW and AQ and (b) inc SW, AQ and BG ?
  4. Did I read correctly somewhere on here that they usually have a ticket sale in November (we are looking at going in April '18) ?

Hi, I can't answer all of those points, but having done it twice...
2/ They tend to ask for photo ID so it is a gamble if you try to sneak in an underage child, unless they have relaxed since my last visit.
3/ It is a great day, uncrowded, all inclusive in terms of food, and the pool where you can snorkel and swim among the fish is great. A very relaxing and enjoyable day. I have to confess, the dolphin swim is part of the main attraction and unless someone in the family is doing it then I would not personally bother going.
