Has Illuminations changed?

Hi there

Last in WDW in 2015.

Has Illuminations changed at Epcot or is the display still the same?

Thanks

Jonathan

Pretty much the same. Rocket is now fired from American Adventure - used to be from U.K. The only "changes" are 4th July (Heartbeat of Freedom) and New Years Eve when they add a small appropriate additional piece at the end.

Did you know the control centre for it all is on top of the Mexican pyramid.

The current show 'IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth' opened October 1, 1999 and was initially called 'IllumiNations 2000: Reflections of Earth' until the millennium.

There have been no significant changes during its 17+ year run!

In addition to the 4th july and new years countdown finale, there is also a holidays finale following the main show around Christmas (November 25 to December 30, 2016).

The Christmas add on over the holidays is my favourite bit...Let there be peace on earth with some amazing fireworks.

The fireworks used in the show have changed (significantly), but only a pyro nerd would notice that.
