We were there for Hurricane flloyd we were in a villa remember getting a call from the villa management team telling us what to do very frightening myself and my sil stayed up and watched the news and when it changed path boy were we pleased and you right parks open by 11 that morning and sighs we went passed just said goodbye Floyd stay safe every one out there and please god it moves away

I'm glad that Disney & Universal parks will be closed tomorrow.
Is anyone out there atm? What are hotel guests being told? Hopefully everyone has stocked up on food & drink etc, so that there is no need to attempt to go out into potentially very dangerous conditions.

Someone posted a letter from their hotel last night on Facebook. Scary just looking at it. Closing curtains and staying away from windows, stocking up on snacks and water, making sure mobile phones are fully charged etc and filling bath up with water?!?...anyone know why they have to do that? They were supposed to be flying home tomorrow so have to check out, the hotel is fully booked so they are on a waiting list to get a room. Scary if they dont get one!

I imagine quite a few of those due to check-in tomorrow won't make it due to the weather so hopefully they will get a room. Flights will more than likely be delayed as well. Stay safe everyone

Glad hotels are advising guests to stock up on food & water as it looks like that might be the only food/drink they have until storm passed & things up & running again.
Am still watching CNN weather updates & it does look very worrying! 😔
